Position – News Anchor / Media Anchor Location: Mohali Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Chandigarh University is seeking a dynamic, confident, and professional News Anchor / Media Anchor to join its University Media Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hosting news bulletins, conducting interviews, presenting university-related content, and representing the institution across digital, broadcast, and social media platforms. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to think on their feet and adapt to changing circumstances. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current events, news, and trends, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: • Host news bulletins and present university-related content across digital, broadcast, and social media platforms. • Conduct interviews with students, faculty members, and industry experts. • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, alumni, and external partners. • Represent the institution at events, conferences, and meetings. • Collaborate with the University Media Centre team to develop and implement content strategies. • Stay up-to-date with current events, news, and trends in various fields. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience as a News Anchor / Media Anchor. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to think on their feet and adapt to changing circumstances. • Strong understanding of current events, news, and trends. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
