OPTANO is our platform for user-friendly applications. Many new ideas for visualization, process support, storage, and faster calculation are waiting to be implemented, and that's where we need your support.

As Analytics Software Engineer (m/w/d), you will work together with experienced colleagues on the further development of OPTANO applications and design project- or customer-specific software modules based on our OPTANO platform. Your areas of responsibility are diverse and include fields such as data protection, calculation logic, and surface.

Your tasks extend throughout the entire development project:

• Reviewing requirements
• Designing architecture and surface of the product
• Implementing software
• Targeted use of AI-supported development tools for supporting analysis, implementation, test automation, refactoring, and documentation
• Critical evaluation of AI-generated suggestions regarding code quality, maintainability, security, performance, and professional and technical correctness.
• Ensuring quality
• Deployment and operation in a distributed environment

Qualifikation

And these skills you'll need for that:

Although we value soft skills and good teamwork, a few technical competencies are necessary to bring yourself as an Analytics Software Engineer (m/w/d) into our team:

• Professional experience in consulting or comparable project work including precise communication of the results achieved
• First-hand practical experience with or strong interest in AI-supported software development and responsible integration of corresponding tools into daily development life
• A good academic or university degree in the field of computer science, economics, mathematics, etc. is desirable
• Very good knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Good analytical skills
• Experience with typical development tools (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio or JetBrains Rider)
• Very good German and English language skills

Experiences in the following areas are advantageous but not a requirement:

• Development in ASP.NET Core and React
• Handling cloud technologies (e.g., Azure or AWS)
• Continuous Integration (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, JetBrains TeamCity)
• Continuous Delivery (container technologies, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Data pipelines/data transformations
• Database design and object-mapper (Entity Framework)
• Use of web frontend technologies (Bootstrap, SASS, CSS, JavaScript)
