Job description
Your Team
The Data & Automation team is part of the OMR Tech department and functions as a Center of Excellence for data and process optimization at OMR. We create the foundation for well-founded, data-driven decisions and smooth operations in all business units (Festival, Podstars, Reviews, Education, Jobs). We see ourselves as a strong business partner: We build the bridges between complex data structures, smart automation, and real business impact.
Fancy maximum freedom in an entrepreneurial environment? Do you love building reliable data models from raw data that enable real business decisions? Then join our team and take ownership of central data models in the OMR cosmos. With us, you won't just write SQL: Your models will control our festival ticketing, our finance reporting, and our marketing budgets!
Where you really make a difference
- You will take ownership of our ticketing and event data models in dbt (Staging, Reporting, and Semantic Layer) and independently develop them further.
- You will build reliable ticket forecasting based on historical sales data, pricing, and event categories, thus creating the basis for our sales planning.
- You will be responsible for our finance data models and build a Working Capital Reporting that makes receivables, liabilities, and cash flow transparent.
- You will develop our cross-channel attribution model across all marketing channels (including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) and thus make the ROI of our marketing expenses visible.
- You will independently handle ad-hoc requests from our business units, from analysis and data export to dashboard adjustments.
- You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Events, translating their requirements into scalable data models.
What sets you apart
- You have 1 to 2 years of professional experience in an analytics or BI environment and have already independently developed and maintained data models.
- You are proficient in SQL and ideally have already worked with dbt and BigQuery (or comparable cloud data warehouses).
- You have an analytical mindset, quickly understand existing data models, recognize interrelationships, and develop them in a structured way.
- You work independently, own your topics, and handle stakeholder requests without close supervision.
- Ideally, you bring Python skills, basics in statistics and forecasting (e.g., time series analysis), or experience with marketing data (ads platforms, UTM tracking, attribution).
- You have excellent German language skills and good English skills, both written and spoken.
What's in it for you
- The opportunity to contribute to one of the most exciting German media companies.
- A feel-good office with height-adjustable desks, massage chairs, mini-gym, summer deck, and much more, located directly in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel.
- Freshly prepared delicacies from our campus team, as well as a large selection of muesli and drinks.
- Company fitness through EGYM Wellpass, mental health offers from nilo, and company pension plan.
- Flexible working hours and heycare for the care of children, four-legged friends, or relatives, and more work-life balance in everyday life.
- Bicycle leasing, subsidy for HVV-Proficard, JobAuto, and employee discounts on partner products.
- Access to all OMR further training formats and a steep learning curve in digital fields.
- The opportunity to network with players in the digital scene through the OMR cosmos.
If we have sparked your interest and you want to drive to the office with a good mood every morning in the future, Elisabeth Barheine looks forward to receiving your application :-)
OMR is committed to equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind based on sex, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, origin, disability, gender identity, or other protected characteristics.
