Analytics Engineer (m/f/d)

Data is not a byproduct for us, but a central success factor and the foundation of our AI strategy. As an Analytics Engineer (m/f/d), you are the driving force behind our data platform: you build and maintain the data models on which Analytics, Reporting, and Data Science are based throughout the company. With robust, scalable, and trustworthy pipelines, you ensure that all teams work on a clean, consistent data basis – and thus make our company measurably more data-driven and AI-capable.

Focus Areas of Your Role

• You develop and maintain dbt models and data pipelines that transform raw data into clean, documented, and reliable datasets

• You establish a single source of truth for key figures and ensure that all teams work with the same trustworthy numbers

• You design scalable data warehouse schemas (dimensional modeling, facts/dimensions) with a focus on performance, scalability, and cost

• You integrate data from company-wide systems into our Data Lake / Data Warehouse and merge cross-system data flows

• You build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., in Metabase) that empower business units to act independently and data-based

• You continuously ensure and improve data quality – including monitoring, dbt tests, and clear standards for reliable analytics and AI use cases

• You work closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, and the Leadership Team, translating business questions into meaningful metrics and analyses

What You Bring With You

• Several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or in a comparable data-driven role

• Very good SQL skills as well as practical experience with dbt in production environments (including tests, documentation, CI/CD, and GitHub workflows)

• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehouse design, ETL/ELT processes, and their impact on scalability and reporting performance

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or comparable cloud DWH/Data Lake solutions) as well as a BI tool like Metabase, Power BI, or Tableau

• Knowledge of Python or a similar scripting/analysis tool for in-depth analysis, prototyping, and automation

• Ability to clearly explain complex data and interrelationships – high service and solution orientation in dealing with internal stakeholders

• Structured, independent way of working, ownership mentality, and very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
