For our **Costing** division, we are looking for a committed **Analytics Engineer** as soon as possible, who will take our data architecture in the area of direct costs (grid fees, levies, taxes) to the next level. In this key position, you will be the link between complex regulatory requirements, energy industry forecasts, and our pricing strategy. You love building scalable data pipelines, keep track of changing regulatory requirements, and aim to make our systems future-proof through a modern new architecture. **Your Tasks:** **Data Architecture & Pipeline Architecture**

You are responsible for the **new architecture of our data landscape** for mapping direct costs in energy sales.

You design and implement robust **ETL/ELT pipelines** using **dbt and Airflow** to efficiently process data from regulatory sources, market data, and internal systems.

You ensure data quality and consistency, which serves as a direct basis for our pricing decisions.

Technical Conception & Monitoring

Regulatory Monitoring & Implementation: You actively monitor regulatory developments in the energy market (such as changes in grid fees, taxes, and levies) and independently translate them into the necessary adjustments to our data models and pipelines.

You develop and maintain forecast models for our cost components and ensure that regulatory changes are reflected promptly and precisely in the forecasts.

You translate complex energy industry frameworks into performant, logical data structures.

**Strategic Collaboration**

You act as the central point of contact for our interfaces Pricing, Energy Markets (Procurement/Forecasting), and Gross Margin Controlling.

You advise stakeholders on the methodological further development of cost calculation and ensure that analytical outputs are directly incorporated into the business strategy.

You drive the technical development of the team forward by establishing best practices in data modeling.

**Your Background:**

You have successfully completed a degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a similar quantitative field.

You have extensive professional experience (mid-level to senior) as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a comparable data-driven role.

You are proficient in SQL and Python. Ideally, you have already gained experience with dbt and Apache Airflow in productive environments.

You have a strong understanding of data architectures and the ability to translate dynamic technical/regulatory requirements into clean, maintainable code.

You work analytically and conceptually and find pragmatic solutions for technical challenges.

You communicate clearly – in German and English – and can explain technical complexity understandably to stakeholders.

You have a strong ownership mentality: You don't just build systems, you are responsible for their operation and their continuous adaptation to the market.
