Regulations and Security Analyst
Job description
*This is a 6-month contract with possibility of permanence afterwards*
As a regulations and security analyst, you will focus on protecting the community and content, ensuring our company and clientele are protected from various high-risk activities. We seek a highly motivated individual, passionate about online platform security and eager to develop their career and thrive in a collaborative environment that is constantly evolving.

What does your daily life look like at MavTek?
- Analyze detailed account and content;
- Prioritize multiple high-volume tasks related to identity verification and rule application;
- Examine documentation and video content to detect potential frauds and identity usurpations;
- Communicate with end-users to verify documentation and validate accounts;
- Apply DMCA and copyright laws;
- Work with internal teams to identify and remove high-risk content and users;
- Investigate reported contents and profiles, taking necessary measures;
- Collaborate with team members and leaders to continuously improve processes.

- Hold at least one year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in an e-commerce environment;
- Have a strong interest in regulations and compliance related to user-generated content platforms;
- Show openness, resilience, and curiosity, being comfortable investigating online contents and behaviors;
- Ability to adapt to new workflows and policy changes in an ever-evolving regulatory environment;
- Capable of adopting a global risk assessment approach, considering multiple variables;
- Know best practices for applying policies; use documentation resources and precedents to guide decision-making;
- Show ability to investigate, moderate, and resolve conflicts;
- Have attention to detail and the ability to make decisions in real-time with full knowledge of the situation;
- Excellent organizational and communication skills;
- Be comfortable with technology; able to navigate and understand new systems and platforms;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends, regular hours determined by seniority.
- Mastery of French and English, both spoken and written.
Other linguistic requirement
The requirement for another language is necessary for this position to communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues who are predominantly located outside Quebec. The company has only one client in Quebec, but handles technical support that client must provide to its subscribers who are almost all located outside Quebec and must therefore constantly use another language to communicate outside Quebec with these subscribers.
