I am looking for a senior FP&A analyst for a manufacturing company in Ville Saint Laurent:

The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to operational teams. Their mandate aims to support financial performance and operational efficiency by analyzing costs, optimizing processes, and supporting decision-making in an industrial context.

The person actively follows up on financial results, develops budgets and forecasts, and analyzes costs related to operations, supplies, and inventory.

Responsibilities

Financial performance and cost analysis
- Ensure the tracking of operational performance indicators and analyze financial trends
- Identify and recommend improvement paths aiming at optimizing costs and productivity
- Examine and explain deviations from standard costs (raw materials, labor, indirect expenses)

Costs of goods sold, inventories, and logistics
- Participate in establishing and updating cost-of-goods-sold accounts
- Collaborate with financial teams to ensure the accuracy of inventory data
- Analyze procurement, transportation, and storage costs
- Contribute to strategic analyses such as decisions on allocation or integration
- Monitor stock levels (excess, slow-moving, or obsolete) and propose actions favoring inventory optimization

Budgeting, forecasting, and closing
- Contribute to the financial closing process
- Participate in preparing budgets and forecasts for operational activities
- Analyze budgetary deviations and formulate concrete recommendations to stakeholders

Projects and continuous improvement
- Perform financial analyses within investment project frameworks (CAPEX/OPEX), including profitability evaluations
- Ensure the reliability of financial and operational data in integrated systems
- Contribute to improving financial tools, processes, and systems

Skills

- Solid expertise in analytical accounting and financial analysis
- Experience in an industrial or logistical context
- Advanced mastery of Excel and experience with an ERP system
- Ability to work closely with operational teams
- Excellent analytical skills, organizational abilities, and relational skills

Educational background and experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Professional title in accounting (an asset) or significant experience in cost analysis
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in operational finance or cost accounting
- Mastery of French and English
