Job description

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is interested in issues related to financial reporting, especially in the area of financial instruments and financial risk management

  • Is interested in development in the area of practical application of IAS/IFRS standards and valuation of financial instruments

  • Has completed or is close to completing a second-cycle degree in fields such as accounting or finance

  • Is available for a minimum of 30 hours per week (analyst) or full-time (consultant)

  • Communicates effectively in English

  • Has good command of the MS Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Is proactive, independent, and can effectively organize their own work

  • Possesses analytical thinking skills, pays attention to detail, and applies a structured approach to problem-solving

Additional advantages will include:

  • Experience gained during project work or in student organizations

  • Interest in issues related to accounting, principles of financial instrument valuation, corporate finance, financial risk management

  • Started ACCA/CIMA qualification process (or willingness to obtain them)

  • Knowledge in the area of IAS/IFRS standards related to financial instruments (e.g., IFRS 9)

Your future role

We are looking for individuals who would like to join our team of experts and participate in our ongoing work as full members of project teams. This includes, among other things, interpreting IFRS provisions, developing accounting and valuation principles for financial instruments, participating in client meetings, and supporting sales activities.

  • Development of financial instrument valuation methodologies

  • Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modeling

  • Advisory on the classification and valuation of financial instruments and analysis of their impact on companies' financial statements

  • Development of accounting recording principles for complex transactions and financial instruments

  • Development of accounting policies

  • Support for companies implementing IAS/IFRS for the first time

About the team

The Corporate and Energy Risk team at Deloitte offers clients from various economic sectors (especially the energy and raw materials sector) dedicated solutions in the areas of financial management, reporting, financial and regulatory risk. Our experience is backed by nearly 20 years of practice gained during numerous projects carried out for companies in Poland and abroad. The scope of our services includes reporting and all types of financial risk (especially credit, market, and liquidity risk). We develop and implement IT solutions supporting risk and treasury management.
