What will your challenge be?
- Act as a technical reference on strategic tax matters, especially involving ICMS, ISS, PIS, COFINS, IRPJ, CSLL, withholdings, and taxes on imports.
- Support tax leadership in evaluating fiscal impacts on commercial operations, supply chains, distribution centers, stores, contracts, services, royalties, imports, and other operational flows.
- Evaluate tax opportunities, tax credits, special regimes, tax benefits, and tax theses, considering technical feasibility, financial impacts, risks, supporting documentation, and governance.
- Prepare analyses, internal opinions, technical memorandums, and executive materials to support decision-making.
- Assess tax impacts on relevant business lines, such as gross revenue, net revenue, sales taxes, costs, COGS, expenses, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Support discussions related to Tax Reform, including the impacts of IBS, CBS, Selective Tax, transition, credits, pricing, margin, cash flow, systems, and accessory obligations.
- Engage in projects for tax parameterization, data sanitation, NCM, CST, CFOP review, fiscal rules, nature of operation, and taxation of products and services.
- Support the review of accessory obligations, including SPED Fiscal, EFD-Contributions, ECF, ECD, DCTFWeb, REINF, PER/DCOMP, and other applicable declarations.
- Engage in initiatives for monetization of tax credits, compensations, refund/reimbursement requests, PER/DCOMP, accumulated ICMS credits, and other recovery opportunities.
- Interact with external and internal audits, supporting the technical defense of fiscal positions, risk classification, and handling documentation requests.
- Support the management of tax audits, notifications, infringement notices, summons, fiscal meshes, and other interactions with tax authorities.
- Work together with external consultants and law firms in analyzing relevant tax matters, ensuring technical alignment, adequate documentation, and governance.
- Support the construction of tax policies, procedures, controls, and risk matrices.
- Act in an integrated manner with Accounting, Controlling, Legal, Treasury, Procurement, Operations, IT, and Fiscal Shared Service Centers (CSC Fiscal).
Ingredients for the Combo:
- Higher education in Law, Accounting Sciences, Administration, Economics, or related fields.
- Solid experience in the tax/fiscal area in medium or large-sized companies.
- Strong knowledge of indirect taxes, especially ICMS, ISS, PIS, and COFINS.
- Relevant knowledge of direct taxes, especially IRPJ and CSLL.
- Experience with tax withholdings, including IRRF, INSS, ISS, PIS/COFINS/CSLL, and other applicable withholdings.
- Experience with fiscal and accounting accessory obligations, such as SPED Fiscal, EFD-Contribuições, ECF, ECD, DCTFWeb, and REINF.
- Experience with external and/or internal audits.
- Ability to assess tax impacts on financial statements and business indicators, such as net revenue, COGS, costs, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Experience with tax parameterization, tax master data, NCM, CST, CFOP, and fiscal rules in ERP systems.
- Good analytical skills, technical writing, and executive communication abilities.
- Ability to interact with different areas of the company and translate technical topics into objective recommendations for decision-making.
Differentiators that make a difference:
- Experience in the retail sector, restaurants, food service, franchises, consumer goods, or companies with high transactional volume.
- Experience with SAP, Mastersaf, Synchro, TaxOne, Oracle, or equivalent fiscal systems.
- Experience with tax credits, PER/DCOMP, refunds, compensations, e-CredAc, Siscred, or similar processes.
- Knowledge of special regimes, state tax benefits, and tax incentives.
- Experience with Tax Reform, especially the impacts of IBS and CBS on credits, pricing, margin, cash flow, systems, and accessory obligations.
- Experience interacting with tax consultancies, law firms, and independent auditors.
- Knowledge of Power BI, advanced Excel, and data analysis tools will be considered a plus.
