Project Analyst Mid-Level (Pricing)
Job description
The position is allocated to the Engineering PMO and its main objective is to perform engineering project pricing, supporting the area in cost estimation before contracting processes. The professional will be responsible for analyzing material lists, validating quantities, preparing budgets, issuing cost reports (PPU, DFP, ABC Curve), maintaining cost databases, and supporting project decision-making.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform engineering project pricing, analyzing material lists, direct and indirect costs, cost compositions, market prices, and economic indicators.
- Evaluate and revise material lists, verifying quantities, technical specifications, units of measure, and adherence to corporate standards.
- Prepare cost studies to support contracting processes, supplier negotiations, commercial proposal validation, and decision-making.
- Administer and maintain updated cost databases, including materials, labor, equipment, social charges, and market indices.
- Research and consolidate price references from previous contracts, supplier quotes, SAP, public databases, and other corporate sources.
- Issue and analyze cost reports, such as PPU, DFP, ABC Curve, and other documents used in contracting processes.
- Support Engineering, Construction, and Project Management teams in budget analysis, scope definition, and project economic viability assessment.
- Conduct comparative analyses between budgeted, contracted, and executed values, identifying deviations and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in the continuous review and improvement of processes, procedures, and methodologies related to cost management and budgeting.
- Develop and maintain pricing methodologies, BDI criteria, and indicators of performance and budgetary assertiveness.
- Manage the governance and integrity of cost information across corporate systems, ensuring data traceability and reliability.
- Act as a functional administrator of pricing systems, providing support, configuring permissions, and validating functionalities.
- Promote automation initiatives, data integration, and market intelligence, seeking greater efficiency in cost management processes and integration with systems like SAP and analytical tools.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Completed Higher Education in Engineering.
- Experience in cost management and engineering project budgeting.
- Knowledge in preparing and analyzing cost compositions and pricing.
- Knowledge of BDI, DFP, and PPU.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- SAP knowledge.
- Experience with pricing and budgeting software.
Desirable:
• Knowledge of the SEOBRA system.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud.
• Knowledge of data management and integration applied to costs and projects.
• Experience in engineering, construction, industrial assembly, or infrastructure projects.
Differentiators:
- Experience in structuring and administering corporate cost databases.
- Involvement with process automation, market intelligence, and system integration.
- Knowledge of performance indicators and budgetary control methodologies.
