Job description
Description
Our logistics teams are changing the way we interact with customers around the world every day and solving some of the biggest logistical challenges faced not only by Amazon, but also by the entire industry.
Whether large or small items, we find solutions to ensure that we are keeping our promise to customers.
The Amazon Logistics Brazil (AMZL) team is looking for a Logistics Operations Analyst to join the EDSP (External Delivery Service Providers) team, i.e. AMZL delivery stations operated by partners. This person will act as a Control Tower for these operations operated by partners, on a 4x3 shift. Operations will be carried out 7 days a week, including holidays; therefore, Logistics Operations Analysts are all on a 4x3 shift, separated between front and back teams.
This person will work on the management of external logistics partners' delivery stations to ensure the performance and compliance of these partners' processes. Will work in a highly collaborative environment that is closer to a start-up than a large company. The adopted attitude is that no idea is a bad idea and the best ideas are those that should be tested and experienced.
This person will need to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced and dynamic environment. Part of your functions may be performed virtually, as well as auditing / visits to logistics partners on-site.
Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. We not only celebrate the diversity of our workforce, we celebrate the diverse ways we work. If you would like to request an accommodation for the interview or onboarding process, let your recruiter know and they will connect you to our accommodation team.
Key job responsibilities
- Daily monitoring of the efficient operation of logistics partners, suggesting and implementing improvements;
- Create and track operational metrics with logistics partners;
- Analyze data from various sources and identify relevant trends so that, from them, quick and important decisions can be made for the business;
- Find practical and simple solutions to complex problems;
- Serve as a link between internal and external stakeholders, taking into account the objectives, limits, compliance and privacy of information;
- Dive deep into the root causes of operational problems;
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration, Operations or related areas.
- MS Office, with an advanced level in Excel (vlookup, advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros).
- Ability to multitask, managing multiple partners simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Availability to travel 10% of the time.
- Basic English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced English.
- Experience in process monitoring, metrics and problem solving.
- Experience in Logistics, Transportation.
Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit https://amazon.jobs/content/en/how-we-hire/accommodations for more information.
