Job description
Do you have experience working with Mexican payroll and are interested in developing in the technology area? At Eviciti, we are looking for a Payroll Analyst with analytical thinking, ease of using systems, and a liking for investigating differences, to train them as a Functional Tester of an Electronic Payroll application for Mexico. Prior experience as a software tester is not essential. We will provide training in testing methodology, incident documentation, and quality control. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has participated in the calculation, review, or processing of payroll and wants to use their functional knowledge to help improve a software product. JOB OBJECTIVE To validate that the processes, rules, calculations, and results generated by our Electronic Payroll application function correctly and meet the defined requirements. The selected person will use their payroll experience to identify scenarios, differences, and possible errors, while developing professional software testing knowledge. MAIN ACTIVITIES Analyze requirements related to payroll processes. Design and execute test scenarios and cases. Validate calculations of earnings, deductions, taxes, and net pay. Review incidents such as absences, lateness, overtime, vacations, incapacities, and permits. Validate ordinary and extraordinary payroll processes. Review taxable, tax-exempt, and partially tax-exempt concepts. Validate calculations related to Income Tax, employment subsidy, IMSS, and Infonavit. Review Electronic Payroll receipts and their fiscal information. Compare system results against calculations, configurations, or expected results. Test different employee types, pay periods, and payroll scenarios. Identify incorrect behaviors or inconsistencies. Document errors clearly, including steps to reproduce them, expected result, obtained result, and evidence. Follow up on corrections made by the development team. Re-execute tests after a correction. Perform regression tests to verify that changes do not affect other functions. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners. Keep test evidence and documentation updated. REQUIREMENTS Technical degree, bachelor's degree, or studies in Accounting, Administration, Human Resources, or a related area. Minimum of one year of experience participating in Mexican payroll processes. Experience calculating, processing, or reviewing payroll. Knowledge of earnings, deductions, and incidents. Basic knowledge of Income Tax applied to salaries. Familiarity with IMSS, Contribution Base Salary, and Infonavit. Knowledge of Electronic Payroll receipts or payroll CFDI. Intermediate Excel skills. Ability to work with information systems. Good analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to document information clearly and in an organized manner. DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE Experience with weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payrolls. Knowledge of ordinary and extraordinary payrolls. Experience with vacations, vacation premium, Christmas bonus, profit sharing, final settlements, or dismissals. Knowledge of taxable and tax-exempt concepts. Experience reviewing differences or making payroll corrections. Familiarity with XML or Payroll Complement. Experience using a payroll system. Basic database queries or SQL. Experience providing user support. Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar. Technical knowledge of software testing, SQL, and tracking tools are desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided to develop these competencies. Genuine interest in developing a career in technology and software quality. Ability to collaborate with technical and functional profiles. WE OFFER Gross monthly salary of 12,000 to 15,000 MXN.
