Engineering Analyst
Job description
IC Energy is looking for an Engineering Analyst, a specialist in electromechanical works, to support the development of basic and detailed engineering for our high, medium, and low voltage projects, under the supervision of the Engineering Coordinator.
You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing calculations, drawings, and technical documentation related to electromechanical assembly, and for providing technical field follow-up during construction execution, contributing to projects meeting client requirements, applicable regulations, and IC Energy's quality and safety standards.
Main Responsibilities• Prepare and update drawings, calculation reports, and technical specifications for electromechanical works under the supervision of the Engineering Coordinator.
• Support basic electrical studies (short circuit, load flow, protection coordination) as assigned.
• Track engineering deliverables and maintain updated project document control.
• Support the handling of comments from clients, CFE/CENACE, or regulatory bodies on drawings and reports.
• Provide technical on-site follow-up for electromechanical assembly, verifying execution according to design and specifications.
• Review and validate electromechanical assembly, lifting, and maneuver procedures.
• Collaborate with Construction to resolve day-to-day technical queries on-site and propose solutions for deviations.
• Support the implementation of technical standards and best practices in the Engineering area.
RequirementsEducation:
• Electrical, Electromechanical, or related Engineering degree.
• Graduated or in the process of graduation.
Experience:
• 1 to 3 years in HV transmission line engineering, substations, or MV/LV distribution and industrial electrification.
• Experience or knowledge of EPC projects, consulting, or detailed engineering (desirable).
• Experience in technical follow-up of electromechanical works: power equipment assembly, lifting, line stringing, or electrical installations (desirable).
Technical Knowledge:
• Fundamentals of electrical design for HV lines, substations, and distribution networks.
• Basic knowledge of short circuit, load flow, and protection coordination studies.
• Knowledge of electromechanical assembly procedures: lifting, maneuvers, power equipment assembly.
• Proficiency in electrical design/calculation software (AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar).
• General knowledge of CFE, CENACE regulations, and applicable electrical standards.
Languages: Native Spanish; basic-intermediate technical English.
SkillsWillingness to learn, attention to detail, orderliness and discipline in handling technical documentation, good communication, teamwork, availability to travel and support on-site during electromechanical construction execution.
