Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an Import and Foreign Trade Analyst to manage and coordinate import operations, ensuring compliance with applicable customs and trade regulations. This position plays a key role in the company's supply chain, collaborating with international suppliers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure efficient, documented processes aligned with business objectives.

The selected individual will contribute to maintaining the operational continuity of imports, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with current foreign trade regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and track import operations from the issuance of purchase orders to the receipt of goods.
  • Review and manage the documentation required for foreign trade operations, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, customs declarations, packing lists, and transport documents.
  • Maintain communication with international suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, and logistics partners.
  • Verify compliance with customs regulations, legal requirements, and restrictions applicable to imported goods.
  • Track customs clearance processes and support the resolution of operational issues.
  • Keep updated databases, files, and records related to import operations.
  • Collaborate in internal and external audits related to foreign trade and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor changes in customs and trade legislation to identify potential impacts on the company's operations.
  • Manage permits, certifications, and procedures necessary for the import of goods.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in logistics and administrative processes related to foreign trade.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, International Relations, Logistics, Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in import operations and foreign trade.
  • Experience in customs documentation management and import process tracking.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade processes.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, international suppliers, and logistics operators.
  • Analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Communication and collaboration skills with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and provide timely follow-up on processes.
  • Professional proficiency in the Spanish language.
  • Intermediate or advanced level of English for communication and documentation related to international trade.
  • Knowledge of the Chinese language will be considered an added value.
