Procurement Analyst Category: Wines & Spirits Objective of the position: The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for tracking all purchases related to wines and spirits, including negotiating prices with suppliers, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: • Track and analyze purchase orders for wines and spirits, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings. • Negotiate prices with suppliers to ensure the best possible deals for Walmart. • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth and expansion in the wine and spirits category. • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a steady supply of high-quality products. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, inventory management, and marketing, to optimize the procurement process. • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, product quality, and regulatory compliance. • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure Walmart's procurement processes are compliant and effective. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
