Are you someone who enjoys a challenge? As an Ambulant Youth Mentor, you will work independently and tackle complex cases, often with young people who exhibit behavioral problems and are at risk of drifting off. You see each young person as unique and are driven to bring out their qualities. In this role, you will work closely with behavior specialists and care coordinators to help young people function as independently as possible in society. Your flexibility, independence, and ability to think outside the box make you an excellent candidate for this position. As an Ambulant Youth Mentor, your main task is to provide support and guidance to young people who are at risk of drifting off or have already done so. You will work with these young people to identify their strengths and weaknesses, set goals, and develop a plan to achieve them. You will also work closely with other professionals, such as teachers, social workers, and healthcare providers, to ensure that the young person receives the support they need. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong sense of empathy and be able to build trust with the young people you work with. You should also be able to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to complex problems. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others is also essential. In addition to your experience and skills, you must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel throughout the region to meet with young people in their own environments.
