Aluminium Welder (w/d/m)

We are looking for you as an Alu-Welder (w/m/d) for our location in Salzgitter. The filling of this position is possible full-time or part-time and initially for 24 months.

Your Role at Alstom - What Moves Us

2,000 colleagues work in Salzgitter daily on climate-friendly mobility. They develop and manufacture hydrogen- and electric-powered vehicles, locomotives, and streetcars, produce bogies, and repair all types of freight wagons. The Rolling Stock & Components department offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus lies on green and intelligent solutions, including emission-free drive systems like batteries and hydrogen.

Your Tasks:

• Typical MIG welding and welding of components and wagon bodies, also in multiple layers
• Read welding and repair instructions, drawings, and work plans
• Perform visual inspections and fill out WSP protocols
• Typical lockwork tasks
• Document your activities in AOS

Your Profile - What Sets You Apart

We are convinced that personal motivation makes the decisive difference. Your willingness to develop and learn new things is crucial for us, even if you don't meet all the mentioned qualifications.

• Very good knowledge and several years of experience as a MIG welder
• WIG and MAG experiences desired
• The passing of a DB norm and -requirements test is necessary
• Solid German language skills
• Readiness to work shifts (2 and 3-shift)
• Team- and communication skills
