Work-Study - Co-ownership Accountant

About Us:
At Matera, we've been revolutionizing co-ownership management since 2017. After the success of our offers for cooperative managing agents, we launched Matera Local, our new professional managing agent service.
And to support our growth, we are looking for a work-study accountant to join our team of Co-ownership Accountants and develop skills in a key role in real estate.
Job Description:
Supported by an experienced mentor, you will contribute to the management of a client portfolio alongside a seasoned accountant. Gradually, and based on your skill development, you will be able to manage your own client portfolio independently.
Specifically, you will learn to:
Process and track invoices, collect checks
Prepare accounting annexes and review annual accounts
Enter water meter readings
Perform bank reconciliations
Manage the sending of payment requests
Respond to clients' accounting questions
Participate in the accounting entry of new co-ownerships
To go further:
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform with our Product and Tech teams
Become an internal point of contact for accounting matters for other teams (Customer Care, Sales, etc.)

A 2-week onboarding to discover Matera and its tools
Value-added assignments: you will progressively develop skills on concrete cases
Internal tools (Notion, Slack…) for easy communication and continuous learning in a Tech environment

Practical Information:
Location: Lyon - Marseille - Annecy
Occasional (remote work) depending on manager approval
Contract Type: Work-study
Contract Start: September / October 2026
Work-study rhythm sought: 3 weeks in the company / 1 week in training
Ideally,
You are pursuing a degree in accounting
You have an interest in the real estate sector
You are conscientious, can demonstrate autonomy, and have a strong ability to adapt
You enjoy customer relations and ensuring their satisfaction
Recruitment Process:
