Job description
What will you do:
At Groenland Kip, no day is the same. With multiple companies, hundreds of invoices daily, and an organization that is constantly on the move, there is plenty to arrange!
As an Allround Financial Employee, you and your colleagues ensure that the financial administration runs smoothly. But your role goes beyond just processing bookings. You independently handle financial issues, identify connections, and contribute to making processes smarter and/or more efficient.
You will be involved in:
- Financial administration: processing and checking bank transactions, purchase invoices, and expense bookings.
- Accounts receivable and payable management: investigating outstanding items, contacting customers and suppliers.
- General ledger administration: checking and cleaning up general ledger and intermediate accounts, investigating discrepancies, and preparing corrections.
- Month-end closing: preparing and checking administrations, so that Controlling can proceed with reliable figures.
- Process improvement: thinking about smarter working methods, digitization, and automation.
- Collaboration: being a point of contact for colleagues and supporting the Head of Administration with financial questions.
The fun part? You get plenty of freedom to take responsibility. From independently managing an administration to solving more complex issues. Your ideas are valued, and you are given the space to truly improve things!
What we offer:
At Groenland Kip, you not only get a good dose of responsibility and variety, but also a workplace where you quickly feel at home. And of course, attractive employment conditions come with that:
- A salary of € 3,500 to € 4,000 gross per month on a full-time basis, depending on your experience;
- A work week of 32 to 40 hours, with flexible working hours;
- 25 vacation days on a full-time basis, with the possibility to purchase additional days;
- Travel allowance of € 0.18 per kilometer from 10 kilometers one way commuting distance, according to the applicable regulation;
- Plenty of development and career advancement opportunities;
- A state-of-the-art office, great colleagues, and fun activities.
Ready to spread your wings?
About the company:
Welcome to Groenland Kip! An ambitious and growing organization in Bodegraven, specializing in the processing and packaging of chicken products. Groenland Kip is part of the international PHW Group and employs over 400 people. Within the Dutch group, approximately 3 million chickens are processed weekly. That means not only a lot of chicken, but also a significant financial administration!
You will join a team of about 12 colleagues. The atmosphere is open and informal, with short lines of communication and room for a joke. And the workplace? It's certainly impressive! You will work in a state-of-the-art office with its own bar, pool table, racing simulators, own in-house gym with a personal trainer twice a week, and cozy lounge areas. Regular drinks, game nights, and other fun activities are also organized.
What makes Groenland Kip special is the freedom you are given. Your manager is open to your ideas, and the finance department is constantly evolving. There are therefore excellent opportunities to improve processes and grow, for example towards a coordinating role or possibly controlling.
In short: an organization where you don't have to stand still, but are given all the space to spread your wings!
Requirements:
You thrive on an administration that is completely correct. You look beyond just the bookings, enjoy investigating discrepancies to the fullest, and think in terms of solutions. Do you see something that can be improved? Then you come up with ideas yourself!
Furthermore, you bring:
- An MBO or HBO degree in a financial direction, or comparable practical knowledge;
- At least 2 years of experience in financial administration;
- A solid accounting foundation and insight into the consequences of financial bookings;
- Good knowledge of Excel. Experience with Navision is a nice bonus;
- An open, communicative personality and an independent work attitude;
- A good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
Most importantly: you are curious, take initiative, and enjoy making the administration a little bit better together with your colleagues.
