About the Situation

Do you want to be part of creating good and safe meeting places for children and youth in Lier?

BUA Aktiv operates open meeting places in Lierbyen, Tranby, and Sylling.
Aktivitetene take place in the sports hall and adjacent facilities.
The target group is children aged 5-7 and youth aged 8-10.

We are seeking an activities leader for a permanent 50% position.
The position will be part of a team in Culture and Leisure that works with children and youth.
Working hours will mainly be from 12:00 to 17:00, four days a week. Free during school holidays.
The workplace will be at one or more of our leisure facilities: Open Meeting Place on Tranby, Open Meeting Place in Sylling, and/or Youth House V2.

Job Tasks

Work in a team with other colleagues to:

• Organize and lead activities for children and youth
• Establish good relationships with children and youth
• Be a safe adult who handles challenging situations with calmness and clarity.

Qualifications

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience working with children and youth
• Digital competence: Can navigate and use the municipality's platforms: Microsoft 365, Visma, Intranett, and Teams.
• It is an advantage if you have a certificate for driving a car and can use your own car in service
• Good oral skills in Norwegian

• You thrive with an active and varied workday, where physical activity is a natural part of the day
• You communicate well with youth and meet them with calmness and clarity, even when setting boundaries
• Self-reliant, initiative-taking, versatile, and inclusive
