Legal Adjuster - Heavy Equipment Team

We are currently looking for an experienced Legal Adjuster to join our team in Querétaro. This position will work in a dynamic environment and collaborate closely with the Claims Department. The main objective is to handle incidents and claims related to heavy equipment transportation, providing legal and operational support, coordinating with competent authorities and insurance companies to ensure efficient resolution and compliance with regulations, and guaranteeing the protection of the company's interests.

Schedule: Monday to Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Attend the incident site when necessary to supervise, document, and ensure the correct handling of the incident (evidence, statements, custody of the unit).
• Coordinate with corresponding authorities (police, National Guard, Prosecutor's Office, Public Ministry, or competent organizations) the investigation of the claim, legal proceedings, release of units, custody, and compliance with legal procedures.
• Serve as the main liaison with insurance companies and adjusters, negotiating estimates, payments, coverage, deductibles, and settlement of claims.
• Collect, review, and organize legal documentation, evidence, police reports, acts, testimonies, and other necessary supports to support the claim or defense of the incident.
• Manage the entire legal-administrative process of the claim: follow-up, deadlines, internal reports, coordination with operational areas, security, and finance.
• Analyze the claim from a legal perspective, evaluating responsibilities, possible penalties or repercussions, and advising the company on risks and decisions to be taken.
• Maintain constant communication with involved parties: authorities, insurance companies, transporters, operators, and internal areas, informing progress, requirements, and results.
• Prepare final incident reports with legal evaluation, preventive recommendations, lessons learned, and corrective actions.
• Follow up post-incident to ensure legal closure, release of assets, damage or indemnity liquidation, and complete case filing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Forensic Sciences, Security, Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in claim management, traffic accidents, transportation, litigation, or legal claims related to logistics/transportation.
• Real-life experience interacting with authorities (police, prosecutor's office, National Guard, or corresponding organizations) and managing legal processes with insurance companies.
• In-depth knowledge of road regulations, traffic laws, cargo transport, transportation insurance, and legal procedures in the context of claims.
• Availability for on-site visits, incident handling outside regular hours, and immediate response.
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of documentation systems for claims.
• Excellent negotiation, assertive communication, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills.
• A high sense of ethics, confidentiality, and responsibility.
• Intermediate-advanced English (desirable, especially if there is interaction with international insurance companies).
