Airfreight Export Controller

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for an Airfreight Export Controller to join their team in Gauteng, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing airfreight export shipments, ensuring documentation accuracy, and coordinating with clients and service providers for smooth and compliant export operations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage airfreight export shipments from booking to delivery

• Prepare and process customs and airline documentation accurately and on time

• Ensure clear and complete shipping instructions are received and followed

• Maintain communication with clients and overseas agents regarding shipment progress

• Capture all shipment details in CargoWise and monitor daily tracking

• Handle pre-alerts, uplift confirmations, and proof of delivery (PODs)

• Ensure compliance with dangerous goods and bonded cargo regulations

• Assist with shipment reconciliations and preparation of invoice checklists

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification

• Proficiency in MS Excel

• Experience using CargoWise

• Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy

• Excellent planning and organizational skills

• Ability to work well under pressure
