Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals independently.
• Perform complex structural repairs and rework on aircraft components.
• Utilize tools such as drills, shears, and pneumatic riveters for various tasks.
• Install and fit items like clamps, brackets, and bulkheads.
• Fabricate and alter parts and structures as needed.
• Advise on structural repairs and modifications to maintain integrity.
• Ensure aircraft component balance and serviceability.
• Use metalworking equipment to repair damaged structures.
• Inspect and determine operational status of structures and components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Over 10 years of aircraft sheet metal/structures experience preferred.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts and travel as needed.
