Air Conditioning Installation Technician

Eastside Refrigeration is a well-established Hamilton based Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service Company playing a key role in Hamilton’s HVAC&R industry for over 45 years.

We are seeking 4 positive and energetic applicants to join our domestic/commercial installation team in the Waikato.

About the role:

• 
  Install refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and other electrical system equipment in accordance with NZ codes and regulations.
• 
  Operate a variety of test equipment for testing or repairs.
• 
  Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and or installations.
• 
  Operate power/hand tools and other specialised equipment.
• Support the companies preferred suppliers
• Provide information to Administration Officer as required for invoicing clients
• Develop relationships working closely other technicians collaboratively.
• Lead by example within your assigned service team
• Upskilling of the apprentices through on job training

Plan best utilisation of tools, plant and motor vehicles

• Our installation team focuses on quality
• Our level of service and the quality of our installations is our point of difference
• We predominantly install hi-walls into existing houses and a combination of hi-walls, cassettes and ducted into new builds
• We service Hamilton city with a few installs in surrounding towns
• Our client base is residential ranging from owner occupiers, rentals and group home builders.

Your Key Performance Indicators are:

1. Safety and environmental regulations and policies are complied with.
2. 
   Develop relationships working closely with other technicians, customers and supervisors collaboratively.
3. Complete H&S documentation as required, pre-start meeting, Task Analysis and all other statutory requirements.
4. SimPro Excellence - update data proactively into our Jobbing system to ensure up to accurate information for job progress and invoicing. Time sheets are completed at the end of each job.
5. Maintain a well-presented work vehicle with up to date, WOF Rego and maintenances up to date. Vehicle inspections are completed in a timely manner and any repairs reported and actioned.

About you:

• Experience is preferred but good tradesmen skills from a complementary trade, Electrical, Plumbing/gas fitting or similar will be considered.
• We will provide training and upskill the right person to install the Eastside way.
• Because we are working in peoples homes you must be tidy, honest, and reliable with good communication skills
  
• Police checks will apply for this role.
• Hold a NZ drivers Licence
• Hold 2 years min experience
