Specialized Educational Assistant (20.25 hrs/sem)

- $34.05/hour, according to the collective bargaining agreement scale
- As soon as possible

- Until the position is filled
- Participate in developing and implementing personalized learning plans (PLPs) for students with diverse needs from kindergarten to 12th grade;
- Support students with diverse needs by using a variety of intervention strategies and conflict resolution techniques, aiming to facilitate their social and academic inclusion;
- Create and prepare adapted learning materials tailored to the student's needs (visual support; tactile support; etc.) in line with PLP recommendations or plans set up by the intervention team;
- Assist and accompany students to help them develop their skills and competencies towards autonomy (e.g., personal needs and life skills; etc.);
- Observe and document student behaviors and interactions, sharing these data with the intervention team to better respond to their needs;
- Report, document, and share with responsible parties any incident, concern, or worry related to student safety and well-being (physical and socio-emotional), including confidential matters.
Note:
This position consists of 20.25 hours per week, comprising 15.75 hours APS, 3.5 hours of surveillance, and 1 hour of preparation time (LIF). Days and hours will be defined according to the school's organizational needs.
