AI Risk Management Supervision, Division Head

What the role is: Provide strategic direction and lead a team of supervisors focused on supervision of AI risk management for the financial sector. This position sits with Banking Department II. What you will be working on: Oversee the development and implementation of supervisory frameworks and approaches for AI risk management. Work on both broad and technical policy and regulatory issues across the finance sector relating to all aspects of AI. Coordinate with whole-of-government agencies on various initiatives, including those related to AI risk management. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the financial sector, including banks, fintech companies, and other relevant organizations. Provide strategic guidance and support to supervisors and teams working on AI risk management-related projects. Ensure that all supervisory activities are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and goals. What you will need: Strong understanding of AI risk management principles and practices. Experience in leading a team or working in a leadership role. Ability to work effectively across different levels and departments within an organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or economics.
