Effectively apply AI – as an Enabler for modern Software Engineering

Artificial Intelligence is changing software development fundamentally. In this role, you will support organizations from security- and business-critical areas in using AI responsibly and with measurable added value. The focus lies on robust solutions that can be integrated into existing development processes, toolchains, and regulated environments.

The employer is active in the financial sector and offers a technologically demanding environment with plenty of scope for design. At the center stands the build-up of a modern AI-based engineering approach, particularly in the area of Coding Enablement through AI under the use of Claude AI.

This is not just about point automation, but about systematic integration of AI into development-, DevOps- and business processes. Already today, Claude is used for DevOps-, GitOps- and Workflow Optimization.

The role is deliberately hybrid: a combination of Software Architecture and AI Development with strong focus on practical implementation, scalability, orchestration, and sustainable integration.

Tasks

• Etablish AI in Engineering
  Further development of AI along the entire software with strong focus on innovation, practical implementation, scalability, and sustainable integration.
• Orchestrate Agent-based Systems
  Conceptualization, build-up, and steering of AI-agents as well as their interaction within complex system landscapes
• Design Use Cases and Architectures
  Identification of sensible application areas and development of scalable architecture approaches
• Pilot Projects into Practice
  Transfer of ideas and PoCs into productive, stable solutions
• DevOps & Workflows Optimize
  Use of AI to improve development processes, CI/CD, GitOps, and operational workflows
• Technically Design
  Development and integration of modern AI solutions (LLMs, RAG-Systems, agent-based architectures)
• Further Develop Own Framework
  Work with and expansion of an existing internal framework for AI-based development and automation
• Safeguard Quality and Compliance
  Consideration of regulatory requirements, traceability, and security, testing

Qualification

• Strong Architecture- and Engineering Background
  Several years' experience in software architecture, complex system landscapes (DevOps) and modern development processes
• Experience with AI Development
  Practical experience in building up and using AI systems, particularly LLMs and agent-based approaches
• Knowledge of Agent Orchestration
  Understanding of multi-agent systems, workflows, and their integration into existing systems
• Experience with Modern DevOps Practices
  Knowledge in CI/CD, GitOps, and automated development processes
• Hands-on Mentality
  Ability to implement concepts oneself and bring them productively
• Analytical and Structured Thinking
  Evaluation of technologies regarding benefits, risks, and scalability
• Communication Strength
  Sovereign cooperation with technical and professional stakeholders
• Experience in Regulated Environment (Advantage)
  Understanding of requirements in the financial or security-critical context
• Scrum Experience Advantage
• Linguistic Skills
  Very good German and very good English skills
