AI Platform Engineer (m/w/d)

We are looking for an AI Platform Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment of our On-Premise-Platform Huacaya, which enables secure and efficient hosting, training, and integration of KI-models into applications like chats or process automation. The platform covers the entire KI lifecycle and provides companies with a robust foundation to develop tailored solutions for specific requirements. As part of our team, you will significantly contribute to the further development of Huacaya and design innovative KI-based applications within projects.

• You will work directly at the interface with customers and drive the further development of Huacaya, our platform for KI-development and deployment, actively forward, with the goal of bringing solutions quickly into productive use. 

• Your focus will be on training, finetuning, and production-ready deployment of large language models (LLMs), always with a view to concrete customer benefits.

• You will develop and optimize specialized KI-models (e.g., in computer vision, NLP or numerical data analysis) iteratively based on real requirements and feedback from actual use.

• The integration and further development of backend systems are within your responsibility, including APIs, services, and scalable data pipelines.

• You will create tailored, scalable solutions for various industries, which you will accompany from the idea to productive implementation.

• You will analyze, structure, and curate data to build high-quality training and evaluation datasets and continuously improve model performance.

• You will work together with customers and interdisciplinary teams to develop requirements, translate them into technical concepts, and act as the central point of contact for implementation.

• You will create transparency through clear documentation and address-oriented presentations, supporting informed technical decisions.

• You have a completed degree in (Applied) Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science or a comparable quantitative field.

• Excellent German and English skills enable you to convey complex technical content clearly and target-group-oriented.

• You already bring first-hand experience in the development or deployment of KI-systems, for example from projects, internships or professional stations.

• You are confident in training and finetuning LLMs as well as working with frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Knowledge of backend development, e.g., with FastAPI, Django or Flask, enables you to develop production-ready applications.

• Familiarity with modern infrastructure and deployment tools like Docker and Kubernetes as well as SQL/NoSQL databases and version control complements your profile.

• You stand out with an independent, structured, and pragmatic working style, as well as the ability to take responsibility and drive solutions forward even under uncertain framework conditions.
