What will you do?

As an AI Platform Engineer, you play a key role within HSO's Microsoft Power Platform team: a rapidly growing department with an entrepreneurial mindset where your expertise is essential for continued growth. You design the foundations on which clients build their digital transformation — from data model to security to ALM — and ensure that AI-driven solutions are reliable, scalable, and manageable. 

You will be involved from the sales phase to help the client get started with our approach and proposition, together with the intended client team. You will have the freedom to design and guide platform and AI implementation trajectories. In some cases, you will operate alone, in others, you will be supported by an experienced and motivated team — including the AI Platform Consultant, who provides the business problem, functional design, and user journeys as a basis for your technical design. 

Core tasks: 

• You will design Dataverse models and the associated security architecture (tables, relationships, business rules, roles, and permissions), including the data grounding on which AI agents can reason safely. 

• You will choose and justify the appropriate pattern for each issue: app, portal, workflow, or AI agent, and design the technical architecture of Copilot Studio agents (topics, plugins, connectors, Azure OpenAI integration). 

• You will determine the ALM and environment strategy (dev/test/acceptance/production, pipelines, release management), including version control and promotion of AI agents and their knowledge sources. 

• You will set up governance and security for AI: Data Loss Prevention policies, tenant and environment settings for Copilot Studio, and monitoring/observability of agent behavior. 

• You will assess and validate AI-generated solution designs and code for quality, security, cost, and scalability, and make adjustments where necessary. 

What do you bring?

• HBO/WO (Higher Professional Education/University) work and thinking level. 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role at an IT service provider, consultancy, or on the client side. 

• Demonstrable experience in designing Dataverse data models and security architecture (roles, teams, business units, field-level security). 

• Experience in weighing and choosing between app, portal, workflow, and agent patterns (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio). 

• Knowledge of and experience in defining ALM and environment strategies (pipelines, solution management, environment strategy). 

• Experience with reviewing and validating (AI-generated) solution designs and code. 

• Knowledge of the technical design of AI agents in Copilot Studio: topics, plugins, connectors, grounding on Dataverse, and integration with Azure OpenAI/Azure AI Foundry. 

• Knowledge of AI governance and security: Data Loss Prevention policies, tenant settings, monitoring, and responsible AI principles. 

• Good knowledge of Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, Copilot Studio). 

• Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP & CRM) and Azure is a plus. 

• Experience with multidisciplinary teams (Solution Architects, Project Managers). 

• Experience as a Lead Architect or Solution Architect with large, complex systems, preferably with multiple (Microsoft) platforms. 
• Experience with Prince II & Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
