This is what we need you for

• AI Coding Stack: You will build our internal stack for agentic software development from scratch – selection, configuration, and operation of the coding agent environment, deliberately model and provider-neutral.
• Test Automation & Documentation: You will close our biggest technical gaps: automated integration and end-to-end tests, as well as agent-compatible technical documentation in the repository.
• Quality Gates: You will establish automated code reviews as an integral part of our CI/CD pipeline and build a synthetic test data factory that keeps the entire workflow out of the GDPR scope.
• Active Development: You will actively develop – about half of your time you will build real features through exactly the pipeline you are setting up. The mix is wave-like: phases of intensive stack work alternate with phases of active development.
• Governance: You will define the binding AI specifications for our external development service providers and be responsible for the internal Quality Gate. You will not lead a team – professional authority is required, not disciplinary.
• Knowledge Transfer: You will onboard an internal colleague who will share the role with you and be co-responsible for the stack in the long term.

What you bring with you

• You have around 7-10 years of professional software development experience at a senior or lead level, with architectural responsibility. Java and Spring Boot in the backend, ideally Angular in the frontend.
• Microservices, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD are part of your daily routine. You have not only used test automation but also built it.
• You work daily with agentic coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, and orchestrate multiple agents in parallel. We explicitly do not expect years of experience here – this way of working has only existed since the end of 2025.
• You maintain your own context files, skills, and system prompts and can show them to us. You have a solid answer to how you verify agent-generated code.
• You can justify why you use which tool – instead of following the latest trend.
• You understand business, not just technology, and can set and enforce standards with external service providers.
• You speak **German fluently and English fluently**.
• Desirable Skills: Ideally, you have already built your own agentic development pipeline – including review and testing, professionally or privately. Experience in regulated environments as well as in managing external development service providers is an advantage.
