Role Description This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI-based solutions for cancer diagnostics. As an AI/ML Research and Development Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the AI lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, pathologists, and domain experts to develop and implement AI algorithms that improve the accuracy and efficiency of cancer diagnosis. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for image analysis, specifically for histopathology images. This includes tasks such as image segmentation, object detection, classification, and other relevant computer vision tasks. Work with large datasets of histopathology images, clinical data, and other relevant information. Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, and augmentation techniques to prepare data for model training. Train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models using various algorithms and techniques. This includes selecting appropriate model architectures, tuning hyperparameters, and evaluating model performance. Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to integrate machine learning models into the Aindra Systems platform. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of AI and machine learning, particularly in the areas of computer vision, deep learning, and computational pathology. Conduct research and development activities to explore new approaches and techniques for improving the performance and robustness of AI models. Document research findings, model architectures, and experimental results. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. 3-4 years of experience in the field of AI/ML, with a focus on computer vision and deep learning. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Experience with image processing and computer vision techniques, including image segmentation, object detection, and classification. Experience working with large datasets and performing data preprocessing and cleaning. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience in the field of computational pathology or medical imaging is a plus. Experience with Docker and containerization is a plus.
