AI Engineering & Automation Specialist (on-site)

Your Role

Every internal team at Cloover, Ops, Energy, Sales, CS, Finance, has work that AI agents can do faster and better. You will build the systems that make this a reality: agentic pipelines, MCP servers, and internal tools that change our daily work, not someday, but now. Success in this role means: Colleagues stop doing the work that you have automated and focus on what only they can do.
You will report to Florent (Head of Operations & Energy) and work in a strong, closely connected team.

Your Tasks

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end agentic systems, RAG pipelines, embeddings, retrieval, prompt engineering, and evaluation that automate Cloover's highest volume internal workflows.
• Develop and deploy your own MCP servers as well as integrations that connect HubSpot, Slack, Notion, Aircall, and other tools so that data lands where it is needed, without manual intermediate steps.
• Write production code in Python and TypeScript with clean schema design, security, and authorization, code that goes live and runs, not prototypes that get stuck.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for internal tooling: identify a gap, build a tool, deploy it on Firebase, Vercel, or GCP, with proper version management and CI/CD.
• Build your own Claude code skills, plugins, and connectors, and onboard colleagues into AI-native workflows that are actually used.
• Work closely with Ops, Energy, Sales, CS, and Finance to identify the highest leverage automation use cases, and then implement them yourself.

Your Profile

How you think and what you have built matters more than where you have been. These are the prerequisites for your success in this role:

• You have already shipped agentic systems, RAG pipelines, or AI-powered tools—during your studies, in side projects, at hackathons, or on the job, not just experimented with prompts in a chat window.
• You write production code in Python and/or TypeScript and can defend the trade-offs in your code.
• You feel comfortable wiring up REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication across third-party systems (HubSpot, Slack, Notion, or similar) and can model data meaningfully.
• You recognize the gap, define the solution, and ship it without waiting for someone to tell you what to do.
• You are based in Berlin and approach your daily office life with energy. We are intentionally office-first; decisions are made in real-time, prototypes are tested over lunch, and the founding team is ten meters away. If this is how you work best, you will feel at home here immediately.

Nice to have (but not a must):

• Hands-on experience with MCP, Claude Code, or agentic frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, or Google ADK.
• German language skills (B1 or higher) helpful for collaboration with the Ops & Energy team.
