AI Engineer (Python) and Consultant (w/m/d)

Aufgaben

• As a member of our team, you will work with modern technologies to develop scalable AI solutions for our customers in the area of e-commerce-like procurement solutions based on SAP.
• You will support us in reviewing and preparing data for training AI models.
• You will integrate customer data end-to-end – from ERP (e.g. SAP S/4HANA), Knowledge Bases, and Microsoft 365 securely, incrementally, and RAG-ready.
• In addition to classic ETL tasks, you will create cloud-native RAG-data pipelines.
• You will develop MCP servers and ensure that models have the right tools and data, performant, and controlled ready.
• You will drive use cases forward together with developers and departments – from the Aha moment to go-live.
• You will take over technical consulting for our customers regarding the feasibility and benefits of AI solutions, with a strong focus on the impact on business and technical implementation.
• You will work closely with contact persons from IT, innovation, data science, and other producing or implementing teams.
• You will create or revise documentation on programming for each customer and requirements in our internal Wiki.

Qualifikation

• You have a completed degree in computer science/economics or several years of professional experience in the field of software/data engineering.
• Experience with (AI-) platform engineering, AI training, and inference KI-tooling.
• Proven programming knowledge in Python.
• Machine learning and natural language processing are not foreign words to you.
• Software development methods like Git, CI/CD, and testing are standard for you.
• Experience in frontend and backend technologies like FastAPI or SQL databases and similar is an advantage.
• Fundamental knowledge of building data pipelines and RAG architectures.
• Desirable: Experience in AI, ideally in a strategic or advisory function at the interface between business and IT.
• Analytical thinking, structured working style, and self-responsibility characterize you.
• You are a team player, communicate clearly, and have the ability to convey knowledge about technical solutions to non-technical target groups.
• Good German and English skills.
