CADAICO, the Chat-to-Design Company, is a small but rapidly growing startup from Stuttgart, founded by Pedram, a former Mid-Level Manager from Mechanical Engineering, and Daniel, a KI Researcher from KIT.

Our team builds software that combines KI methods with traditional algorithms – so engineers in mechanical engineering can automate their constructions, instead of manually using CAD tools.

With promising projects in the pipeline, we have a good foundation for the next growth phase and are looking for people who think independently, take responsibility and want to build genuine KI products that shape mechanical engineering.

Aufgaben

What you'll do here

• BUILD THE KI-HEART OF OUR CHAT-TO-DESIGN PRODUCT: from LLM binding to productive Agent
• Makes sure our software learns customer-specifically without training a model – through versioned system prompts, knowledge bases, rule systems, feedback and memory systems. Customer specificity over architecture instead of weighting
• DEVELOP AND OPTIMIZE OUR RAG-PIPELINES OVER CONSTRUCTION AND PART DATA
• CREATE AGENTIC WORKFLOWS: Tool Use, Function Calling, multi-step reasoning and robust error handling
• SET COMPLEX KI IDEAS INTO RELIABLE, PRODUCTIVE SOFTWARE FEATURES – together with our Software Engineers

Qualifikation

What you should bring

• Very good knowledge of Python and clean, maintainable engineering – typing, tests, understandable APIs
• Experience with RAG: Embeddings, Vector Search, Re-Ranking – and a sense for why retrieval is harder with real data than in the tutorial
• Experience with Agentic Workflows: Tool Use or Function Calling, multi-step reasoning – and a feeling for what happens when the model goes wrong
• You've already built more than just a chatbot: a system where a language model does something – tools are called, own data is worked on or multiple steps are linked. Whether in job, study or personal project, it doesn't matter to us
• Lust, diving deep into a topic, making your own decisions and quickly learning new things
• Very good English and good German knowledge for safe internal and external communication

• Agent-Frameworks like LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI or MCP
• Systematic evaluation of LLM outputs (Golden Sets, LLM-as-Judge, Langfuse, Ragas)
