AI-Engineer (m/w/d)

Development and maintenance of LLM-based pipelines for processing customer inquiries. Conceptualization and implementation of data intake and preprocessing pipelines (emails, PDFs, images, etc.). Development of classification and routing logics for customer inquiries. Use of prompt engineering and continuous optimization of model releases. Implementation of structured outputs and human-in-the-loop workflows. Ensuring production readiness (tests, CI/CD, containerization). Participation in the architecture and scalability of AI systems. Monitoring and optimization of model performance using LLM observability tools. Collaboration with various teams to integrate AI solutions into existing business processes and workflows. Funded experience with Python on a production level. Practical experience with FastAPI and asynchronous programming patterns. Experience building LLM pipelines (OpenAI SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or comparable technologies). Notable experience in prompt engineering. Knowledge of implementing structured outputs as well as LLM evaluation procedures. Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and established testing methods. Background in data engineering, particularly in data pipelines, data preprocessing, and working with unstructured data. Experience with PostgreSQL and REST- and event-driven APIs. Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or comparable solutions). German at least B2.
