Aufgaben

Deine Mission
We are looking for you as AI Engineer (m/w/d) at the location München (mainly remote with occasional on-site appearances). You will develop KI functionality for a production-like chat service: request analysis, agent retrieval, response generation with citations/references, feedback loop, telemetry, and continuous quality measurement.

Your tasks will be:

• Implementation and further development of the agent orchestration including tool calling to retrieval, knowledge APIs, and ticketing integrations.
• Prompt Engineering: system/role prompts, response format, tone, citation rules, abortion and escalation logic.
• BUILDING GUARDRAILS: prompt injection/jailbreak mitigation, uncertainty handling, source obligation, policies (including negative statement protection).
• Participation in index and retrieval pipelines: chunking, metadata, versioning, re-indexing; integration of hybrid data sources.
• BUILDING EVALUATION AND BENCHMARKING: test questions, reference answers, scoring, automated regression tests.
• Telemetry and feedback: quality metrics, hallucination flagging, monitoring of KI components.

Qualifikation

Dein Profil
You should definitely bring the following knowledge and skills:

• Experience in practical LLM engineering (RAG, agentic RAG), including evaluation methods (groundedness, hallucination, robustness).
• Solid software engineering skills (APIs, tests, logging/monitoring), preferably cloud-native.
• Knowledge of Azure AI Services and ideally Azure AI Search.
• Understanding of data protection (PII), data governance, logging minimization, and retention.
• Team player, documentation-oriented, reliable in complex stakeholder setups.
• A very good spoken and written German is required for effective communication in the project environment as well as with our German-speaking customers.
