AI Engineer @ DCG

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of practical software engineering experience, including significant experience with production AI systems or data-intensive solutions in complex project environments.
• Very good practical knowledge of LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool integrations, AI agents, and their associated trade-offs, limitations, and potential failure modes.
• Experience in designing and maintaining comprehensive AI systems covering APIs, application services, data pipelines, information retrieval layers, evaluation processes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to define measurable quality criteria and evaluation methods for AI systems, considering customer value, reliability, latency, cost, and maintainability.
• Practical experience in AI-assisted engineering, Spec-Driven Development, and modern programming tools; ability to improve team workflows by combining human judgment with automation and AI agent support.
• Very good understanding of system architecture and the ability to design reusable patterns and common functionalities while effectively collaborating with product teams responsible for local implementation decisions.
• Documented experience in cross-functional collaboration – from exploration and prototyping to production deployment and continuous improvement in an agile environment.
• Ability to support and influence other engineers, raise technical standards through collaboration, and bring clarity to an ambiguous and rapidly changing AI landscape.
• Very good communication and collaboration skills to translate technical complexity into concrete decisions and actions for product, technical, and business teams.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.
