AI Operations & Strategy Engineer Location: Remote (South Africa) About the Role We are seeking an AI Operations & Strategy Engineer to lead the adoption, governance, and optimisation of AI/LLM solutions. Reporting to senior technical leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring AI systems are cost-efficient, ethical, and aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities Manage and refine prompt engineering strategies. Monitor and optimise AI resource usage and costs. Develop evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure the effectiveness of AI initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise AI use cases. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for AI development and deployment. Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on AI-related projects. Key Requirements Strong understanding of AI/LLM concepts, architectures, and applications. Experience in developing and deploying AI models using popular frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Knowledge of cloud-based AI platforms like AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning. Familiarity with data engineering tools like Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Hadoop. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
