Your Future Area of Responsibility

• Central shaping of the technological future in a high-tech environment as well as active contribution to digital transformation and securing competitiveness

• Responsibility for the development, implementation, and application of data analysis, process optimization, and machine learning tools for complex and innovative measuring systems

• Exploration and application of new methods for evaluating large datasets, including image data, in collaboration with a cross-functional and highly qualified algorithm team

• Further development and implementation of digitalization and AI initiatives – from exploratory data analysis and agentic AI systems to maintainable, production-ready, and customer-oriented solutions

• Use of organizational and project management skills to support experts in exploring new machine learning possibilities in EUV metrology applications

What Sets You Apart

• Successfully completed university degree in Physics (m/f/d), Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or comparable; ideally with a doctorate

• At least three years of experience with a project portfolio across all phases of data science projects: from algorithm development and statistical analysis to transferring models into production and their continuous support

• General technical understanding and experience, as well as intrinsic interest in optical metrology and the processing of associated data

• A deep understanding of data analysis, machine learning, and the underlying algorithms

• A solid background in software development, including OOD principles, test-driven development, very good Python skills, and familiarity with agile software development, Git, and Azure DevOps

• Strong curiosity and the willingness to intensively engage with new subject areas

• High self-motivation, self-organization, strong hands-on mentality, and teamwork skills

• Good German and English skills (B2)
