AI Automation & Systems Engineer (m/f/d) in AI-First Marketing Agency

We are a boutique marketing agency for coaches & consultants.

Our goal is to transform our agency into an AI-first agency where all standardizable processes are handled by AI. There will be a small group of highly specialized people who will control and lead the AI.

For this, we are looking for a person who will decisively lead the change. This role will significantly determine how our company operates in the next ten years.

Together with our managing director, you will strategically rebuild the agency while operationally leading and implementing the process.

Tasks

• You will analyze existing company and marketing processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop scalable, efficient workflows and processes for all areas of our company.
• You will develop, implement, and optimize AI agents, automations, and internal software solutions using modern technologies such as n8n, APIs, LLMs, and other AI tools.
• You will transform manual business processes into intelligent, AI-powered systems and automations, allowing our employees to focus on strategic, creative, and value-adding tasks.
• You will consistently identify all recurring activities within the company and develop solutions to replace or significantly simplify them through automation, AI agents, or new workflows.
• You will standardize and document processes (SOPs) and ensure that they are sustainably introduced and lived within the company.
• You will work closely with all teams, understand their challenges, and develop systems that make their daily work easier, faster, and more scalable.
• Experimentation is explicitly encouraged. Part of your job is to test, evaluate, and productively implement new technologies. We don't expect you to know everything, but rather that you are curious and enjoy trying new things.
• Your role requires extreme self-responsibility. It is your task to go through the company and systems with open eyes, identify inefficiencies, and eliminate them independently.

Qualification

• 5-10 years of professional experience
• You have already built and scaled complex business processes. Ideally in a marketing agency, a SaaS company, a tech company, or a fast-growing scale-up.
• You have already taken on leadership responsibility and managed people.
• You know how to build excellent processes: from conception through operational implementation to successful establishment within the team.
• You love processes, immediately recognize inefficiencies, and have the ambition to permanently eliminate recurring work.
• You have been intensely engaged with AI, automation, and AI Engineering for several years. You have already developed complex AI workflows and agent systems, ideally with tools like n8n, Claude Code, Cursor, Make, or comparable technologies, and you continuously follow the latest developments in the AI field.
• You have a background in software development or programming and understand code, APIs, and technical contexts far beyond no-code automations.
• You possess an exceptionally fast comprehension, quickly grasp complex connections, and independently learn new topics, technologies, and systems.
• You think radically in AI-first: Not: How can I automate the process, but: how can we automate the process and let the AI take over without human intervention.
• You have already built an agent system for yourself privately that handles many annoying tasks for you.
• Communication skills: You can convey complex technical topics understandably and inspire others to successfully use new processes, automations, and AI systems.
