Job Description
We are looking for an AI Automation Expert to identify, design, and implement automation opportunities across the organization. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop scalable solutions using artificial intelligence, workflow automation, and system integrations.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and technical skills with a business-oriented mindset, translating operational challenges into practical automation solutions that improve productivity, accuracy, speed, and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
AI and Automation Opportunity Identification
Collaborate with departments such as Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Operations, and IT to understand existing workflows and identify automation opportunities.
Map current processes, assess manual effort and bottlenecks, and prioritize initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, cost, and implementation effort.
Maintain an automation roadmap and pipeline of potential use cases across the organization.
Build business cases and estimate expected savings, productivity improvements, and return on investment.
Solution Design and Implementation
Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered workflows, automated processes, and integrations between business applications.
Use low-code/no-code automation platforms, APIs, scripting, and AI services to streamline repetitive and complex tasks.
Implement solutions using large language models (LLMs), AI assistants, document processing, information extraction, classification, summarization, and intelligent search where appropriate.
Automate workflows involving email, documents, spreadsheets, enterprise systems, reporting, and internal knowledge bases.
Develop prototypes and proofs of concept, validate results with stakeholders, and transition successful solutions into production.
Business Process Improvement
Challenge existing ways of working and recommend process simplification before introducing automation.
Partner with business users to redesign workflows and ensure solutions address real operational needs.
Document processes, automation logic, integrations, dependencies, and support procedures.
Train employees and support adoption of new AI-enabled tools and automated workflows.
Governance, Security, and Continuous Improvement
Ensure automation solutions comply with company policies, GDPR, data protection requirements, and relevant security standards.
Establish appropriate human review, approval, exception handling, and monitoring for AI-driven decisions and outputs.
Monitor solution performance, reliability, usage, and business outcomes.
Maintain and improve deployed automations as business requirements and technologies evolve.
Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience in process automation, business systems, software development, digital transformation, or a similar field.
Demonstrated experience implementing automation solutions that deliver measurable business benefits.
Practical experience with at least one automation platform, such as Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, Make, Zapier, n8n, or an equivalent tool.
Experience integrating business applications using APIs, webhooks, connectors, or similar technologies.
Working knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and practical AI use cases.
Ability to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives, document solutions, and work independently.
Nice to Have
Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, or other scripting/programming languages.
Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, ERP, CRM, or HRIS platforms.
Experience with AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and enterprise knowledge assistants.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and AI services, such as Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or comparable solutions.
Experience with robotic process automation (RPA), document intelligence, and intelligent data extraction.
Understanding of AI governance, access controls, data privacy, and responsible AI implementation.
Experience measuring automation ROI and managing a cross-functional automation portfolio.
