What you will do as an intern
The assignment concerns the development of a sustainable road foundation. By applying bitumen stabilization, the load-bearing capacity of foundations can be improved. In this research, we will investigate how this method can be optimally utilized with different types of building materials.
The research assignment includes a literature study, drafting an experimental plan and conducting laboratory tests (such as compressive strength, triaxial and cyclic tests) to characterize the foundation material and potentially analyze it in a hardening calculation using OIA.
