Aerospace Designer (AS9100 Standard)

Job Summary: The Aerospace Designer creates and modifies detailed 3D models and assembly drawings for aircraft structures and systems, adhering to AS9100-certified design standards. Key Responsibilities: Design mechanical and structural components using CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX). Collaborate with stress, manufacturing, and aerodynamics engineers to ensure design feasibility. Prepare documentation and drawings compliant with AS9100 requirements. Review and implement design changes based on feedback from cross-functional teams. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, including material selection, tolerancing, and dimensional control. Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize design processes and reduce costs. Maintain accurate records of design activities, including design changes, revisions, and iterations. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
