The position

We are looking for a lawyer to conduct the firm's negotiations and supervise the team that supports them. This is a front-line position: you will be the face and voice of the firm when dealing with banks, creditors, debtors, and clients.

What you will do

• Conduct negotiations with financial institutions, funds, assignees, creditors, and debtors — from the first contact to the formalization of the agreement
• Structure restructuring proposals based on liability diagnosis (contracts, guarantees, status of each debt, exposure of guarantors)
• Develop with the client the necessary provisioning to support the agreements — what needs to be reserved, within what timeframe, and with what cash flow margin
• Produce and deliver periodic update reports to the client, with the status of each negotiation, next steps, and scenarios
• Be the direct client liaison: translate strategy into clear language, align expectations, and deliver good and bad news with the same firmness
• Supervise the legal team involved in negotiations: distribute instructions, control deadlines, review deliverables, and maintain follow-up cadence
• Define the strategy for each case with the management — when to negotiate, when to litigate, and in what order
• Formalize agreements, monitor compliance, and act on breaches
• Keep the internal management system updated (deadlines, progress, negotiation history)

Indispensable Requirements

• Active and regular OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) registration, with at least 5 years of inscription
• At least 3 years of experience in debt negotiation, banking law, credit recovery, or restructuring — from any side of the table
• Technical mastery: CCB (Real Estate Credit Bill) and credit notes, fiduciary alienation and assignment, aval and guarantees, extrajudicial title execution, search and seizure, revisionary actions, extrajudicial and judicial recovery
• Exceptional communication, verbal and written. This is the determining factor for this position. You will speak with bank directors, entrepreneurs in crisis, and your own team, often on the same day
• Leadership ability: provide clear instructions, enforce deadlines, and maintain standards without depending on management for every step
• Organization and record-keeping discipline — unrecorded negotiation does not exist
• Availability for on-site work in Curitiba

Differentiators

• Postgraduate degree in Banking, Corporate, Tax, Bankruptcy, or Business Recovery Law
• Previous experience within a financial institution or a credit recovery firm (knowing the other side's rules and limits is invaluable here)
• Familiarity with Law 14.467/2022 and the impact of provisioning on a bank's willingness to grant discounts
• Experience in tax transactions and installment plans (federal and state)
• Experience in mediation and conciliation, including corporate CEJUSC (Judicial Center for Disputes Resolution and Citizenship)
• Mastery of PJe, Projudi, EPROC, and e-SAJ (Brazilian court systems) and good command of legal management systems

Hiring and remuneration

• PJ (Legal Entity) employment regime (associated lawyer) with a fixed salary of R$ 7,000.00 + %, on-site in Curitiba
• Fixed remuneration to be agreed upon, compatible with experience, plus a percentage of the firm's success in conducted agreements
