IONOS Cloud operates its own data centers and its own hardware. What we procure is often already in the rack as a server, storage, or GPU a few weeks later and handles our customers' workloads. That's why we're not just looking for a classic purchasing specialist, but a true Cloud Procurement Professional (w/m/d). Someone who understands the technological need before it even arises: You keep a close eye on the capacity status of our fleet, analyze data-drivenly what needs to be ordered when, negotiate the best conditions, and maintain our supplier relationships in an auditable manner.

Areas of Responsibility

• Procurement Expertise: Relevant practical experience in strategic IT procurement, ideally with a strong focus on data center hardware and not exclusively on software or licenses.
• Technical Understanding: You can read parts lists, evaluate configurations, and discuss technical requirements with engineering on an equal footing. A deep understanding of cloud licensing and consumption models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) is assumed.
• Data-Driven & Affinity for Numbers: You work data-drivenly with utilization and demand figures. You measure your success by savings, process cycle times, delivery reliability, and contract compliance.
• Negotiation Skills: You shine with demonstrable successes in managing complex tenders (RFPs) and in demanding negotiations.
• Compliance Mindset: You know exactly why a transparent supplier register is essential. Partnership with Information Security and Data Protection is a matter of course for you.
• Language Proficiency: Your German and English skills are at a negotiation-level.

This is a Plus

• Experience working with suppliers from the data center environment (OEMs, distributors, system houses).
• Exposure to common compliance frameworks (BSI C5, ISO 27001, IT-Grundschutz, TISAX, DORA).
• Industry knowledge in the public sector or in dealing with highly regulated target groups.
