Environmental Advisor

For Gemeente Purmerend, we are looking for an Environmental Advisor. You will work together with BPD | Bouwfonds Gebiedsontwikkeling on the development of new neighborhoods in the Oostflank. Here you strengthen the connection between green, nature, living and leisure experience, so it feels like living outside, but still Purmerend remains: close and well connected to all amenities of the city. The development of the Oostflank has been elaborated in the Vision Oostflank Purmerend (adopted by the municipal council in April 2024). Subsequently, the college of mayor and aldermen prepared the design for the Gebiedsontwikkelingsprogramma Oostflank, which outlines how to implement the development of the Oostflank.

You will fulfill a role within the team that sets up environmental plan changes for the Oostflank area and is responsible for the following tasks:

• Guiding environmental plan changes for the Gebiedsontwikkeling Oostflank until the council decision:
  • Maintaining planning, process steps and coordination with involved parties
  • Guiding administrative preparation
  • Delivering a change proposal, administrative memo and summary explanation
• Responding to opinions on environmental plan changes for the Gebiedsontwikkeling Oostflank:
  • Preparing a response note on opinions
  • Caring for legal and administrative coordination
