About Tjaden Adviesbureau

Tjaden has been a specialist in geotechnique and geohydrology for more than 50 years. As part of Van Tongeren Watertechniek – the largest water technology specialist in the Netherlands – we work with 200 colleagues from 8 locations. Our advice department focuses on water management, monitoring, foundation, dam walls, and settlement analyses. The execution department carries out soundings and level measurements.

What will you do as Adviser Geohydrology?

Your day starts with a team meeting about ongoing projects and priorities. Then you'll get to work on:

• Designing and analyzing pump tests and drainage systems.

• Preparing and optimizing water management advice.

• Monitoring groundwater data during project execution, where you analyze deviations and directly coordinate with the execution team.

• Investigating water overload problems and developing practical solutions.

• Innovation: for example, automating reports or developing smart tools in Python.

You move seamlessly between theory and practice. You're not just an advisor on paper, but also a sparring partner on the construction site.

What do you bring?

• A completed HBO or WO degree in, for example, hydrology, water management, or civil engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience in geohydrology.

• Experience with hydrological (model) calculations.

• Affinity with monitoring and execution.

• A proactive, customer-focused, and flexible attitude.

• Experience with GIS systems (pre; we work with QGIS).

• Knowledge of Python or interest in working with it (pre).
