Are you an experienced ecologist with a passion for nature and policy? Do you want to really make an impact on biodiversity conservation in the Netherlands? Then this is your chance to work on an urgent nature program. The national Verbeterprogramma VHR-monitoring (VVM) is looking for reinforcement! We are looking for driven ecologist advisors who want to play a key role in improving the monitoring and reporting of nature data on behalf of the government (ministries of LVVN, I&W, Defense) and the collaborating provinces.

What will you do?
As an ecologist advisor, you will contribute to the development of a methodology for mapping the habitats of VHR species within and outside Natura2000 areas. The quality of the habitats will also be determined. You will work intensively with senior ecologists, species experts, and policymakers on projects with direct social relevance.

You are the motor of the development team:

* You have species knowledge and know the demands of species on their habitats

• You have knowledge of habitat types, Natura2000, SNL, and ANLb;
  You have knowledge of nature area management and nature development

• You specify steps, think actively and take initiative;

• You continuously align with experts within and outside the team.

Requirements:

• Eis 4: You possess an HBO/WO work and thinking level. Toelichting: This completed and recognized education must be clearly mentioned in the candidate's CV. • Eis 6: You have species knowledge and know the demands of species on their habitats and/or experience with developing methodology regarding habitats. Clearly and specifically mention how, when, and with which employer the relevant work experience was obtained.
