Job description
Will you help the young, rapidly growing Service Point organization achieve our ambitions? We want to offer applicants for support products and services a single point of contact and provide clients with insight into the service level of the support provided. We, as your future colleagues, are looking for that solid professional who will help us further professionalize the organization.
As an Advisor Digital Systems & Processes, these are your tasks; 1. Advises and supports management and employees within the SP in the use and application of digital systems and data, by: - informing management and employees about the use of digital systems and the data recorded therein; - advising users on functionalities, possibilities, and coherence between digital systems; - promoting the use of uniform working methods and standards; - acting as a point of contact for employees within the SP for questions about digitalization and systems; - contributing to the creation and updating of procedures, work instructions, and managing and making this documentation accessible; - organizing and providing training and education in the field of digitalization systems in consultation with the Sr. Adv Digit & Systems; 2. Manages digital data and monitors its quality and lawful recording, by: - overseeing correct recording and archiving; - overseeing compliance with regulations and guidelines regarding digitalization and systems; - identifying and assessing bottlenecks in systems and, in collaboration with the Sr Adv Digit & Systems, ensuring adequate resolution; 3. Contributes to the (further) development and changes of digital systems and processes within the SP, by: - preparing functional designs for changes and (further) developments of systems and contributing to the technical translation; - participating in testing and implementation processes of new functionalities or changes and evaluating them; - performing project-based work focused on digital systems and processes; - identifying and monitoring developments and trends in digitalization and process design; - representing user interests towards central service providers (JIVC, PDM); - inventorying user wishes and bottlenecks in system usage; - obtaining user information within the digital systems and making improvement proposals based on this;
Job requirements
You have a completed HBO (higher vocational education) degree (preferably in Business Administration or Business Intelligence, Business & IT, Facility Management). Prince 2 Agile and LEAN (green belt) is a plus.
Preferably practical experience in comparable positions. Experience with improvement and change processes of digital systems and processes Extensive experience in understanding the customer's system needs. Extensive experience in participating in projects Experience with facility and/or service management systems.
Knowledge and insight into (Defense) policy. Policy principles and financial-economic aspects of (digital) services.
Furthermore, you are strong in communication (both oral and written), customer-oriented and problem-solving, quality-conscious, a team player and connector, and you work in a structured manner and know how to set the right priorities.
You will be working in a very enjoyable team that is involved with all Service Point-wide processes and staff activities where you can truly make an impact. You will also actively contribute to the digital course and further growth of the organization. In addition to 'running the business', we are primarily focused on making our business operations future-proof ('changing the business'), with the latter being strongly reflected in your tasks. From 2025, Defense employees will no longer receive holiday pay and year-end bonus as separate payments, but will build them up monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for Defense employees amounts to a total of 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, Defense employees can decide for themselves when, what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or fiscal facilities. This can be up to the maximum of the monthly accrued budget. The IKB can be used for:
- A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance.
- The monthly difference between the contribution to the costs of personal transportation for commuting and the fiscal maximum.
- A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance.
- A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance.
- A battery or electrical components for a bicycle.
- Payment of union contributions.
- Defense expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.

The Facility, Logistics, and Security Division (DFLB) is a professional organization that provides facility and logistics services to its clients within and outside Defense, whenever and wherever needed. We operate in a client-oriented, cost-conscious, reliable, flexible, and transparent manner.
The activities are carried out within the DFLB, which falls under the Defense Support Command (DOSCO). The Facility, Logistics, and Security Division consists of a Staff (Cabinet, Facility Section, Mobility and Transport Management Section, the Program Bureau, the DOSCO Locations Barracks Command, and dedicated support) and the following business units: Paresto (caterer), Defense Facility Company (FBD), Service Point, Defense Traffic and Transport Organization (DVVO), Defense Media Center (MCD), Financial Administration and Management Office (FABK), Bureau International Military Sports (BIMS), Royal Home for Veterans and Bronbeek Museum (KTOMMB), and Defense Guard and Security Organization.
