Advanced Quality Engineer in Electronics

Job description

Job Requirements:

  • Technical or business bachelor’s degree;
  • Strong background in Electronics;
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of electronic quality management in the automotive industry;
  • Knowledge of industry-specific manufacturing processes, IATF 16949 and VDA standards, and customer specific requirements;
  • Good knowledge of preventive quality planning, APQP, VDA RGA, validation planning, PPAP/VDA2, and core tools (FMEA, SPC, etc.);
  • Knowledge of 8D reports, 5W, Ishikawa, fault trees;
  • Proficiency in English, German is a plus;
  • Excellent communication and cooperation skills, in particularly with overseas plants;
  • Availability to travel to other JQ Plants;
  • Ability to work independently in cross-cultural environments;

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures quality requirements are aligned with customer expectations and provides quality related support of changes in the project;
  • Participates actively in projects with the aim of bringing new products to series production readiness and collaborates with the project team;
  • Provides quality-related support for changes in the project;
  • Handles test planning including all necessary test equipment for the assembly process, including HW (Lighting systems) and preparation of the corresponding specifications/schedule;
  • Performs internal process audits in the project and supervises external process audits;
  • Transfers quality-related topics to the series quality team;
  • Coordinates and manages the sampling process for the customer;
  • Keeps track of all deliverables monitoring the Program Management System (PMS);
  • Manages parts identification, traceability, and production control planning for the pre-series;
  • Develops and oversees test instructions in the project phase and evaluates laboratory test results;
  • Creates and releases defect catalogs for customer-relevant components and internal processes (e.g., veneer, injection molding);
  • Defines PPM agreements with customers and analyzes scrap and failures;
  • Assess component maturity and manages VDA RGA processes with customers;
  • Manages IMDS documentation for the customer and checks luminance and color conformity.
